The Aarush Foundation was born from the profound vision of Mr. Sitaram Waghmode, a man whose life’s work was dedicated to the principles of justice, equality, and social welfare. Hailing from the small village of Javala in Maharashtra, Mr. Waghmode’s journey from humble beginnings to becoming a respected leader was driven by
his deep commitment to uplifting the marginalized and creating opportunities for all.
Today, the Aarush Foundation stands as a living testament to Mr. Waghmode’s enduring legacy. Led by his son, Mr. Aarush Sitaram Waghmode, the foundation focuses on four key areas: education, women empowerment, environmental sustainability, and mental health. Each initiative is crafted with the same passion and dedication that defined Mr. Waghmode’s life, aiming to create lasting, positive change in communities across India.

Inspired by the teachings of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar and Mahatma Phule, Mr. Waghmode envisioned a world where every individual, regardless of their background, could access education, achieve economic independence, live in a healthy environment, and receive the mental health support they need. To turn this vision into reality, he laid the foundation for an organization that would carry forward these ideals long after him.
